PART-15.ORG®, is an international nonprofit membership organization
founded in 2002, representing all sectors of license-exempt wireless
communications – voice, video, and data communication services and
enhanced specialized mobile services.
As an organization, we represent service
providers, manufacturers, wireless data and internet companies, as well as
other contributors to the license-exempt wireless industry. PART-15.ORG
advocates on their behalf before the Executive Branch, the Federal
Communications Commission, Congress, and state regulatory and legislative
bodies.
PART-15.ORG also coordinates the industry’s voluntary efforts to bring
consumers a wide variety of choices and information regarding their
broadband wireless service, and supports important industry initiatives
and standards. The organization also operates the license-exempt wireless
industry’s leading trade show, WISPCON,
as well as equipment testing and certification programs to ensure a high
standard of quality for consumers.
PART-15.ORG provides a place for all users of the license-exempt spectrum to
come together as a whole. We concentrate heavily on the use of the
unlicensed spectrum to provide a single source for those wishing to profit
from this use and at the same time provide a meaningful alternative to
hardwired broadband access.
We do not simply seek your membership. We also want and need your
active participation. As most of the membership is comprised of
smaller sized companies and individuals, it is important to our community
to ensure the most accurate information and assistance is provided. Since
no one person can be an expert at everything, we all rely heavily on
others experience and education to help each of us make the most informed
decisions.
PART-15.ORG was formed in 2002 to capitalize on the years of
technology training and experience offered by its founders, associates,
members and other interested parties. You can expect and rely on
philosophical, accurate and real world assistance as a member of
PART-15.ORG.
