President's Choice AwardISP-Planet.com.    RESCINDED

The PART-15.ORG President's Choice Award is the organizations highest award. This award was established as its first award to recognize distinguished service in and to the License-Exempt Wireless Internet Service Providers Industry. Given only to those who have attained preeminence in the field through outstanding contributions.

It is not necessarily awarded each election, the President's Choice Award will be presented when an individual's achievement does not necessarily fit in any one category, or the recipient has made an outstanding or long-term contribution to the development and understanding of the WISP industry.

The President's Choice Award is presented to a recipient who has demonstrated:

  • Determined by the organization President

Chairman's Comments - I would venture to say that most of us sent our first wireless packet based on the knowledge and information we gained from the ISP-Planets Wireless Discussion List and the many articles written on their website. It is without a doubt the most active and informative discussion list available. Also, I would like to commend their corporate staff in their continuing efforts for their very successful conferences and training events in the WISP industry. Without the discussion lists and conferences hosted by these folks, many of us would not be where we are today. My personal thanks for all your assistance that made so many of us successful License-Exempt Wireless Internet Service Providers.

This award has been rescinded by PART-15.ORG's Chairman. After unsuccessfully trying to purchase the famous WISPCON event from PART-15.ORG, the owners of ISPCON and Jupiter Media (owners of the ISP-LISTs) filed and lost a borderline frivolous lawsuit which created a great financial burden on this organization. These actions by ISP-LISTs were not in the keeping or fostering the good will of the License-Exempt Wireless Service Providers Industry.
