Riekstins currently is technical manager at Mikrotiks SIA
specializing in technologies of wireless Internet connectivity
and MikroTik networking software development. Before joining the
Mikrotikls SIA he has worked as researcher at the Institute of
Polymer Mechanics in Riga, where he received the Dr.sc.ing.
degree in mechanical engineering in 1993. He has studied at the
Latvian University, where he received a MSc diploma in Physics.
He has worked with Latnet, the Latvian Academic Research
Network, interconnecting the research networks of academic
institutions."
