PART-15.ORG's DISCUSSION LISTS

1 March 2008, Discussion List Member Review

Today was the deadline to either become a PART-15.ORG member or PAID List Subscriber to remain on the Pay-Per-User Lists. While we tried our best not to inadvertently boot anyone who was supposed to remain on the lists, errors can happen and we apologize for if anyone was accidentally booted.

• If you are a PART-15.ORG Member and were booted accidentally, please simply use your login information and rejoin your desired lists.

• If you have a Pay-Per-User Discussion List Subscription, contact wdsl @part-15.org and they will assist you in getting back on your desired lists.

• All of the FREE Discussion Lists weren't touched so there should be no problems here. 

Effective 1 February 2008, our Discussion Lists will become a Subscription Service.

This change is needed to ensure our list distribution is kept up to date as well as generate the funds needed to support the many activities this organization is involved in to foster the growth of the WISP industry.

For over five years, these lists were public access and a FREE service from PART-15.ORG. With over 8,000 users, our discussion list email server grew to sending an average of 24,000 to 45,000 messages per day. The discussion lists provide real world, real time help for the WISP industry.

We will continue to provide a few FREE discussion lists. For example the WISP list and Equipment list will be remaining public access. For all the remaining 35+ lists, we will try our best to seek sponsorship of them. 

While there are plenty of other FREE discussion lists out there, our list membership believes that the value of information obtained from our lists is more valuable and therefore willing to pay the nominal fee to receive that additional value.
