Hands-On
Configuration
Thursdays
sessions will be an all day Hands-On day
starting with how to install cable connectors on
the LMR series cables, configure wireless Access
Points and Outdoor Routers to establish backhaul
links and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
links. A large variety of manufactures equipment
will be on hand and students will be allowed to
select which equipment best fits their WISP
needs.
The students will be partnered in small
groups - Those having common equipment
interests will be paired with others of the same
interests. The students will learn the basic
configuration steps required to establish a link
between an Access Point (AP) and a Customer
Premise Equipment (CPE). Students will perform
hands-on installation procedures and techniques.
Available Equipment Selections -
smartBridges, Orinoco/Avaya, Proxim,
Teletronics, WaveRider, Alvarion FHSS, Trango,
Canopy, Redline. Some equipment has been
donated by
